We all had a fabulous day celebrating the First Holy Communion on Sunday in St John the Baptist Church. All the children were turned out in their finery, even the sun was shining down on us. The children were wonderful, they had a beautiful entrance carrying yellow roses up to Miss McGarrigle. They read their prayers of the faithful, received their Holy Communion and then surprised the whole congregation with their tin whistle and self-composed song. Well done to every child you did so well, the whole School and community is very proud of you. Thank you to Cannon McGourty who had a lovely mass for us and for visiting the school so often in preparation. To Miss McGarrigle, Miss Naan and Mrs Sinclair who have been working so hard with the children to have them so well prepared, all your hard work showed on the day. A special day for all involved.
