Our school day out to the Balmoral show did not disappoint. We were delighted to be joined by some friends and family on our day out. The few showers did not dampen our spirits. We enjoyed all that the show had to offer, from cattle, sheep, goats and pigs, to spending nearly all our money in the fun fair. There were many highlights for us all, of course the big red hats needed to be purchased for the occasion. The P1-P4 children enjoyed listening to Downtown radio and having a dance, even getting a shoutout live on air. While over in the machinery section there was a few awestruck boys, getting to meet Donkey from the Grassmen who very kindly took pictures and signed numerous hats. Another crowd pleaser was the quad stunt show in the main arena, showing us how not to drive our quads. There really was something for everybody and we were all exhausted coming home from a great day away from school.
